Rainy day struggles

Got caught in a downpour near Jurkalne. The mud and slips were relentless, and even though our gear held up, it was a really tough day. I'm starting to wonder if the weather conditions are ever going to improve. I'm not sure if I should keep hiking on. Any advice on dealing with this kind of weather? The coastal views were beautiful, but I'm finding it hard to stay positive right now.

I've decided to take a break and stay in the nearby town of Liepaja for a couple of days. It's a beautiful coastal town with a rich history and plenty to explore. There are charming cafes, a stunning beach, and even a historic military port area. Plus, it'll be nice to rest up and recharge. In two days, I'll head back and continue the hike, hopefully with better weather. Thanks to everybody for the encouragement and support during this challenging time. It means a lot to have such a supportive community. Looking forward to getting back on the trail soon!

I just checked the weather forecast, and it seems like it's going to stay rainy for the next few days. I'm really sorry to hear you're dealing with such tough conditions. Maybe it's worth considering taking a break until the weather improves? Stay safe out there!

That sounds rough, I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with the weather. How much time do you have for the hike? Do you think you could wait a few days for the weather to improve? Sometimes just a bit of patience can make all the difference. Stay safe out there!

I'm really sorry to hear you're having such a tough time. Dealing with bad weather on a hike can be really challenging. My advice would be to take it one step at a time and make sure you’re staying safe. If the weather doesn’t improve, maybe take a break and wait it out if you can. Sometimes it's better to rest and regroup. And remember, it's okay to change plans if it means staying safe. Hang in there!
